April is here, and with it several noteworthy events – April Fool’s Day, National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day (yes indeed), Tax Day, and of course, Easter. But for us, we’re pumped about what happens on April 14th – BoulderBeta 2.0 – otherwise known as “Colorado’s Startup Mixer”. On the evening of April 14th from 6-9 p.m. at the Absinthe House in downtown Boulder, we will be demo’ing our new interactive video player as one out of only 10 companies selected for this honor.

“We love events that promote start ups and our unique culture,” says Mike Wagle, our fearless leader. “The energy at this event was incredible last time around and we appreciate being chosen as one of the 10 companies to demo this year.”

The purpose of BoulderBeta 2.0, which is hosted by Tim Falls and Beta Ltd., is “to provide a venue that brings together the entrepreneurial community in an open, social and productive environment – making sure, all the while, that everyone has fun! Also, to facilitate greater engagement between the community and the campus so that information and ideas can be shared & opportunities and relationships forged more easily.” Sponsors of BoulderBeta 2.0 include Google, Softplayer, and Technical Integrity.

This is a sneak peak of Clvr.Tv’s new Interactive Video Technology being unveiled at the Launch Conference in San Francisco 23-24 Feb. It features Never Summer Industries and showcases the rich interaction it brings to the video experience for users as well as how a business can use the ClvrPlayer for e-commerce, booking and reservation management, social engagement, brand-based conversion, and much more.

We start ups are fueled by vision, passion, and tireless hard work. Accelerators come in many forms and have immense value: Organizational efforts that result in greater efficiency, hiring the perfect person for an essential position or  having an influencer adopt your product and spread your message. Accelerators can propel a company to new heights, but energizers can be game changing.

Cash is a great accelerator, especially for a boot strapers like us, but let’s face it, greatness comes from vision. It is the raw power of creative inspiration that drives companies to be elite. The ability to continually innovate and execute on fresh and original ideas. Keeping the rockets blasting as we attempt to compete in the tech start up time warp we lovingly refer to as ClvrTime, requires massive quantities of fuel. (Often in the form of burning the candle at both ends – much to the dismay of our patient loved ones).

When the engines start to sputter and we are digging deep to find that original spark that kicked off all this madness there is nothing more valuable than an energizer. People that thrive in start ups are not normal individuals. We are a little off…ok more than a little. We live to be challenged, we are motivated by evolution itself, we are driven to exceed even our own perceived limits if in any way possible. Any thing that can ignite a push to that end is incredibly valuable to us.

Launch has done just that for ClvrTv. They have motivated us to develop faster, to refine our strategies and the way we present our ideas. They have granted us the opportunity to be heard and critiqued by some of the greatest minds in the game. We have been challenged to compete and to prove ourselves worthy of the recognition we seek. Launch has lit our fire and we are burning baby…Imagine what we will accomplish if we make the final cut and are awarded the honor of competing against and besting such an accomplished group of like minded challengers. Bring it on, we’re ready to go to the moon!

On thing has been made abundantly clear by the folks at improv everywhere. You absolutely do not need pants to ride on the subway. 10 years strong and still going they had participants in over 50 cities this year. Pants off to you guys!

The song, which is actually a cover of a South Korean song, has reportedly been a chart-toppe and it’s also inspired a dance phenomenon. there are quite a few other videos out there of people getting there Bobee on. Check them out.
